Paul Savin

COO / Founder

Mr. Savin has been developing software solutions for the financial services industry since 1996. Mr. Savin founded EZX in January of 2004 with the goal of providing cost effective trading automation solutions to small and mid-sized firms enabling them to trade electronically in the market. Today, EZX is a leading independent provider of trading infrastructure to hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, and broker dealers across the globe. As COO, Mr. Savin is responsible for leading EZX’s new product development and manages operations and support.

Prior to founding EZX, Mr. Savin worked for Javelin Technologies, Inc., a leader in developing FIX engine technology, where he was Managing Director and creator of the FIXBox/Instant Integrator division. He also designed, developed and implemented front-end trading blotters used by Institutional clients for electronic trading. Before joining Javelin, Mr. Savin was a Founder and Chief Technology Officer for Core Development Systems (CDS), a software consulting company, based in New Jersey. The company built systems across a variety of platforms for companies such as Salomon Brothers, Telcordia, and Voxware. At CDS, Mr. Savin was involved in assisting Salomon Brothers develop their FIX protocol and their FIX trading infrastructure. Mr. Savin certified and developed systems utilizing the FIX protocol to perform Trading, IOIs and Allocations.

Mr. Savin earned a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science & Economics from Rutgers University and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.

John Petschauer


Mr. Petschauer has over 20 years of experience running innovative companies in the financial services industry. As CEO, he is responsible for the day to day operations and strategic business development of EZX. Prior to joining EZX, Mr. Petschauer was Senior Vice President and General Manager at SS&C Technologies, Inc., a publicly traded provider of financial technology solutions, where he led the Financial Markets Group. Prior to SS&C, Mr. Petschauer was the CEO of Micro Design Services, a provider of exchange trading technology, where he successfully executed a growth plan and guided MDS through an acquisition by SS&C in October of 2008.

Mr. Petschauer has also held a number of other senior management positions throughout his career including, CEO and co-founder of Gateway Financial Technologies, an electronic trading gateway, CTO at The Griswold, Co., a Broker Dealer, and Director at the New York Stock Exchange, where he led the development of exchange trading systems.

Mr. Petschauer received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Science in Management from NYU – Polytechnic University in New York, and has earned NASD Series 7, 63, and 24 registrations.

Gregory J. Nadan

Managing Director

Mr. Nadan has been providing mission critical IT and technology based solutions to the financial services industry for the past 15 years where he has built a solid reputation for on-time and under-budget delivery of reliable systems that meet or surpass the client’s business requirements. He brings to EZX more than eight years of senior level management experience in marketing, developing, selling, installing and operating information systems. His responsibilities at EZX include product management and leading EZX’s sales efforts.

Prior to EZX, Mr. Nadan was the founder and general manager of Nadan & Associates with six full-time employees providing services to clients such as Merrill Lynch and Avis. Prior to heading his own firm he led and managed the Internet division of Channell Communications specifying and delivering web site systems and information products to clients such as New York Life Insurance, JP Morgan Chase, Cantor Fitzgerald, and Verizon.

Mr. Nadan has earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.

Sam Goldberg

Managing Director

Mr. Goldberg has more than 20 years experience developing enterprise application systems. Mr. Goldberg is responsible for managing EZX’s development team and for designing and implementing EZX’s products and solutions. He has extensive experience in implementing sophisticated trading strategies including pairs and arbitrage for equities, options, futures and FX. Mr. Goldberg’s experience and expertise are a key value proposition to EZX clients that require custom development and innovative solutions for complex trading strategies.

Prior to EZX, Mr. Goldberg was a Project Manager and Senior Developer at Electronic Data Systems (EDS), ExcellerateHRO and Towers Perrin. The systems he built were used by more than seventy clients to streamline management of employee pensions, and health benefits. Clients were mainly Fortune 500 companies, including UPS, American Express, AIG, ING, and Washington Mutual. At Towers Perrin, Mr. Goldberg led the development of the dbConnect™ pension administration system. This application was selected as one of the winners of the 2005 Application Development Trends Innovator Awards.

Mr. Goldberg has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University.

Tom Iwaszczuk

Director Operations & Support

Mr. Iwaszczuk has over 15 years of extensive experience, designing, maintaining, and supporting mission critical applications and infrastructure in the financial services industry. As Director Operations & Support, he is responsible for the day to day operations of EZX’s development and production environments. He works closely with both buy side and sell side technology teams across the industry to deploy, integrate, monitor and support EZX’s solutions. With his general industry knowledge and understanding of EZX’s product suite, Mr. Iwaszczuk also functions as a sales engineer.

Prior to joining EZX, Mr. Iwaszczuk was Operations Manager at SS&C Technologies, Inc., a publicly traded provider of financial technology solutions.

Mr. Iwaszczuk has earned a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications from S.U.N.Y Institute of Technology.
